Railroad:

Location:

Street - Denison, Texas

On Original Site:

Yes

Currently Used:

Was Home Of The Red River Railroad Musuem, Now Vacant.

Photographer:

Joe Locke - Tyler, Texas

Other Notes:

This was the home of the Red River Railroad Musuem, but the landlord that owns the building raised the rent and the musuem was forced to move out. The musuem is housed next door to the station. Last report, the structure is still vacant.
Also, the musuems' collection of waycars (cabeese) and a rare modified F9 booster , all lettered in MKT of course, are still next door to the station.

One of the Denison TV stations has been the major leasor of the depot since the musuem moved across the street.

We are the new owners of the Denison KATY Depot, Lek Robinson. Would like you to know that the building is not vacant but alive and well. Vacant areas are being revived.
