The Lufkin, Texas Espee depot was demolished in early September, 1998, replaced with a doublewide trailer house-like structure that sits further away from the track in the same location.
The railroad offered the building to the city parks dept. (so I'm told by a local resident) but the city said it would be "too expensive" to rehabilitate.
