"The citizens of Mineola are very proud of this station.
Since Missouri Pacific dropped the original "Texas Eagle" several decades ago and after a long fought battle with Amtrak to make Mineola a stop again on the "Texas Eagle", then almost losing it again, the Mineola station is seeing a new breathe of life with it being both the Amtrak/Greyhound station and being the home of the Mineola Railroad Musuem."
