"The Neches depot was moved to Palestine sometime in the late 1960's, early 1970's. As of a few years ago, the depot was used as a tourist information center for the city of Palestine during the Dogwood Trails in March and Hot Pepper Festival in late October.

Now, the station has "No Tresspassing" signs posted around the structure. Also, some disrepectful persons broken out a few of the windows. Other than that, the depot it in great shape."
